Counselling approaches

Support that meets you where you are.

Counselling is not about having the perfect words or a fixed plan. It is a space to slow down, be heard and explore what feels important to you.

A thoughtful, collaborative approach.

At Taylor Therapies, counselling begins with your experience. We work at a pace that feels manageable, making room for reflection, questions and change.

The approach is shaped around you, your relationships and what you hope might feel different. You do not need to decide everything before getting in touch. We use an integrative approach, namely Person- Centred and CBT approaches. All sessions are bespoke to your individual needs.

Individual counselling

A private space for adults to explore what is on their mind, without judgement or pressure.

Individual counselling can offer time to understand difficult feelings, life changes, relationships, stress or a sense of being stuck. Together, we can notice patterns, make sense of your experiences and consider what support might help.

Could this be right for you?

This may feel right if you would value dedicated time for yourself and a confidential space to talk things through.

Counselling for young people aged 16+

Gentle, age-appropriate support for young people aged 16 and over who need somewhere to be heard.

Young people aged 16 and over can experience many pressures and changes. Counselling offers a private, respectful space to talk about feelings, relationships, school, family life or anything else that feels hard to carry alone.

Could this be right for you?

This may feel right for someone aged 16 or over who would benefit from a calm, non-judgemental adult listening alongside them.

A welcoming space

We actively welcome disabled and neurodivergent clients.

What to expect

There is no need to arrive with everything worked out.

01

Start with an enquiry

You can share a little about what has brought you here and ask any practical questions you have.

02

Have an initial conversation

We will talk about what you are looking for and whether counselling with Taylor Therapies feels like a good fit.

03

Find a pace that works

If we decide to work together, sessions are shaped around your needs, with regular opportunities to reflect on how things are going.

You are allowed to begin before you feel ready.

An initial conversation is simply a chance to see whether this kind of support feels right for you.

Wondering whether counselling could help?

A confidential enquiry is a gentle place to start. You can ask questions, share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and take things one step at a time.
